What is a Fundraiser?
Coastal Bend Day of Giving would not be possible without the support of so many who are dedicated to strengthening our community’s nonprofits and the mission that help our communities thrive. A Fundraiser is a way for community members and/or organization advocates to show support for the causes they care about by helping secure donations for organizations participating in the community giving challenge. Passionate about a particular organization? Consider creating a fundraiser, setting a fundraising goal, and encouraging your network of family, friends, and colleagues to support this organization by sharing your Fundraiser's URL via email and social media!
Become a Fundraiser in 5 easy steps!

Step 1: Create your Fundraiser
Find your favorite nonprofit using the website's search function. From the nonprofit's page, click the "Create a Fundraiser" button. Set your details! Add your title, your name, custom URL, and set your fundraiser goal.
If you cannot find your favorite nonprofit, they have not registered to participate in Coastal Bend Day of Giving. Check back at a later date or contact the nonprofit to confirm participation.
Step 2: Tell us your Fundraiser story!
Why does this organization matter to you and why should people give?
Step 3: Set a personalized image
Add a personal image for the Fundraiser! Include a photo of you and the organziation or the program you are advocating for.
Step 4: Review and Publish
Preview your profile before you push it live. Please note, once published, it can take up to 2 hours to appear live.
Step 5: Share your Fundraiser to help your cause!
Fundraisers are only successful when they're shared! Copy your Fundraiser's unique URL to share with family, friends, and other contacts in email and posts to social media.

When can I create a Fundraiser?
You can create a Fundraiser as soon as your nonprofit's public profile is viewable on Coastal Bend Day of Giving! Find your favorite nonprofit using the website's search function.
When can people begin giving to my Fundraiser?
People can give to your Fundraiser once early giving begins on June 24th.
Will I be notified when someone makes a donation to my Fundraiser?
Yes! Yes, you will recieve an email that tells you when a donation is made to your Fundraiser and the donor's information unless they have chosen to give anonymously.
Can I create more than one Fundraiser?
Find a NonprofitYes, but we recommend you choose one or Yes, but we recommend you choose one or two nonprofits to focus your efforts on.
How will the donations I raise through my Fundraiser get to the nonprofit?
Coastal Bend Community Foundation will disperse funds raised from Coastal Bend Day of Giving and distribute it to participating nonprofits after the event.
