Timon's Ministries was incorporated in 1999 and opened its doors in June of 2000, organized as a feeding station for the rising number of homeless individuals that frequented the Flour Bluff area at the time. All of that changed in subsequent years, through the changing landscape of the community.

Timon's Ministries has evolved into a day resource center, serving the less fortunate and adding an array of services lending a hand up, not a handout. In 2009, the William Allen Dental Clinic was opened, serving patients from throughout the Coastal Bend who have few options for dental care. A grant from the La Verne and Thomas Howell Foundation with community involvement got the clinic up and running with volunteer dentists and supportive staff. The clinic has treated over 4,800 patients, all uninsured and low/no income. Timon's Ministries can also help in providing dentures or partials for those patients who have had extractions.

In 2012 family medicine was added to the health care arm with a doctor and nursing staff. In July of 2017 with Methodist Health Ministries capital funds, the Paul Zanetti Memorial Clinic opened. To date, The clinic has served over 5,000 patients, all uninsured and low/no income.

All of our services are at no cost to those who are in need. These services include showers, laundry, a clothing boutique, a food pantry, a light breakfast, lunch served daily, rental and utility assistance, assistance with retrieving identification documents, application assistance for a number of different benefits, and medical and dental services. With the help of our dedicated staff, volunteers, and board of directors we are able to provide daily operations to those in need in the coastal bend. Timon's has also partnered with Corpus Christi Housing Authority, the City's Homeless Outreach Coordinator, the Corpus Christi Police Department Crisis Intervention Team, and Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities to connect with individuals to better serve the coastal bend.
