The Mother Teresa Shelter, Inc. is a non-profit, faith-based organization that provides comprehensive, community-based outreach services to homeless individuals and families, creating opportunities to help break the cycle of homelessness. Mother Teresa Shelter was established in 2001. In 2022, Mother Teresa Shelter served 46,020 meals to our homeless community. We assist the homeless during the day with breakfast, lunch, lockers, showers and laundry facilities, phone and internet service, blankets, jackets, and clothing, first aid, referral services, and the CONTINUUM of Care Program (COC).

The Mother Teresa Shelter offers the area homeless several options for meals throughout the day, Monday - Friday.
Breakfast: 8:00 am - Open for everybody
Lunch (full hot meal): 11:00 am - Open for everybody
*On Saturday, Breakfast is served by community volunteers from 7:45 - 8:45 am in the courtyard.

The Mother Teresa Shelter offers the following support groups:
- AA Meeting - 7:00 - 8:00 am, Tuesday, Open for everybody
- Anger Management/Group Counseling (through the Counseling Services Program at Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi) - 9:00 - 10:00 am, Wednesday, Registered clients only The Multi-purpose Activity and Therapeutic Center is an expansion of our programs and services to our homeless community where learning and social activities are incorporated.

Mother Teresa Transitional Housing for Men: Located at 1605 Mestina Street, is a community-based program combining transitional housing, and supportive services which are intended to create permanent housing and individual self-sufficiency. Providing housing for 24 single men for a period of 24 months or less. Includes private rooms, ADA restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, commercial kitchen, recreational area, dog kennel, and security-enhanced grounds. Offering support services including self-sufficiency workshops and continuing education. Established 2012.
